چکیده
Abstract For components serving in high temperature, humidity, and salinity marine corrosive environment, it is vital to analyze the causes of corrosion behavior mechanisms. Metal matrix composites (MMCs) are commonly used materials for offshore equipment. In this work, factors MMCs environments analyzed from characteristics service mechanisms summarized. Graphene (Gr) has excellent comprehensive properties great potential applications metal protection materials. recent years, research into Gr anti-corrosive encompasses two aspects: pure coatings composite coatings. applied yet be extensively studied. Therefore, study analyzes resistance Gr–metal discusses Gr-reinforced MMCs, which provides a reference design optimization performance. Finally, future development directions proposed, critical such as defects, dispersion, content, size, arrangement, interface, conductivity affecting their anti-corrosion discussed.

Casting of SiC Reinforced Metal Matrix Composites
Composites based on two aluminium alloys (A536 and 6061) reinforced with 10% or 20% volume fraction of SiC particles were produced by gravity casting and a novel two-step mixing method was applied successfully to improve the wettability and distribution of the particles. The SiC particles were observed to be located predominantly in the interdendrit ic regions, and a thermal lag model is propos...
متن کاملFabrication of in-situ grown graphene reinforced Cu matrix composites
Graphene/Cu composites were fabricated through a graphene in-situ grown approach, which involved ball-milling of Cu powders with PMMA as solid carbon source, in-situ growth of graphene on flaky Cu powders and vacuum hot-press sintering. SEM and TEM characterization results indicated that graphene in-situ grown on Cu powders guaranteed a homogeneous dispersion and a good combination between grap...
متن کاملFracture Analysis of Particulate Reinforced Metal Matrix Composites
A fracture analysis of highly loaded particulate reinforced composites was performed using laser moire interferometry to measure the displacements within the plastic zone at the tip of an advancing crack. Ten castings were made of five different particulate reinforcement-aluminum alloy combinations. Each casting included net-shape specimens which were used for the evaluation of fracture toughne...
متن کاملPrediction of the Thermomechanical Behavior ofParticle-Reinforced Metal Matrix Composites
The objective of this paper was to predict the thermomechanical behavior of 2080 aluminum alloy reinforced with SiC particles using the Mori–Tanaka theory combined with the finite element method. The influences of particle volume fraction, stiffness, aspect ratio and orientation were examined in terms of effective Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio and coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of th...
متن کاملWear of ceramic particle-reinforced metal-matrix composites
Wear experiments have shown that when the applied normal stress exceeds a critical value, a transition occurs from the regime of mild wear to that of adhesive wear. As a result, the wear rate of particle-reinforced aluminium composites increases by a hundred-fold. Based on dislocation and delamination theories, a criterion is proposed for determining the critical transition load, and a quantita...
